Is the Madison Kate series worth it? Well, let me ask you a few questions first.

  1. Do you read romance?

  2. Do you like dark/suspense romance?

  3. Do you like reverse harems?

If you said yes to any of those questions preferable to all. Then yes, you should read the Madison Kate series.

I realized recently after a week in a half long book slump that I love dark romances. I love good taboo romance like everyone else. I personally felt embarrassed to say that but in all honesty I should be. Romance is a very subjective subject, and the experience is different for everyone. When it comes to the Madison Kate series, I found it similar to the Raven Hood series by Kate Steward. Now don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Kate Steward. Yes, the Raven Hood series broke me in so many ways but also made me remember why I love reading so much. When I decided to pick up Madison Kate, I was in a reading slump. I can wholeheartedly say that the Madison Kate series by Tate James brought me out of that terrible reading slump.

The Madison Kate series by Tate James has 4.5 books in the series. It goes in this order: Hate, Liar, Fake, Kate, and Vault. The first four books are full length books following the four main characters. Our main character is named Kate, she is a rich girl with daddy's money who likes to rebel against what she is told to do. Kate ends up meeting our three main male characters: Archer, Kody, and Steele. The first four books show their growth together as characters as well as the romance between them. The last book Vault is a novelle about the group which the author recommends you read after Tate's other series Hades. Tate James does recommend reading Vault after the Hades series to avoid spoilers and have the best emotional connection.

Hades by Tate James is another reverse harem series set within the same world and story line as Madison Kate. I personally haven't read Hades yet, but I do plan to in the future. I personally rated Madison Kate series by Tate James and 4.75 stars out of five stars for the whole series. The reason I did not give it a full five stars is I felt like the series was dragged out a little bit. The fourth book felt a little bit unneeded for the full story. I think that it would have been a five-star series if it were a trilogy rather than having four books. Even though I felt like the fourth book was a little bit of a drag, I still recommend reading this series as I did thoroughly enjoy this series.

Overall, I can say that Tate James is an author I will be reading again when I am ready to return to a series. This book does contain trigger warnings as there are some graphic scenes as well as a lot of spice. I would recommend checking the trigger warnings in this book before picking them up. If you decide you want to give this book series a try it is on Kindle Unlimited if you have a subscription with them.

Thank you so much for reading this post as this is my first blog post.
